This unique tour takes you off the usual tourist path, offering an authentic experience in
some of Georgia’s most fascinating and lesser-explored regions. From the rich cultural
heritage of Pankisi Gorge to the breathtaking landscapes of Tusheti and the renowned
winemaking traditions of Kakheti, this journey is a deep dive into the country’s diverse
history, traditions, and natural beauty.
Pankisi Gorge is home to the Kist people, an ethnic Chechen community with a distinct
culture, music, and Sufi traditions. Visiting Pankisi provides a rare opportunity to
experience their way of life, witness their spiritual practices, and enjoy the hospitality of
local families.
Tusheti, located high in the Caucasus Mountains, is one of the most remote and pristine
regions of Georgia. Its medieval stone villages, defensive towers, and untouched alpine
landscapes make it a paradise for nature lovers and those seeking to experience ancient
traditions preserved for centuries.
Kakheti is Georgia’s premier wine region, known for its ancient winemaking techniques
using qvevri (clay pots buried underground). Here, visitors will explore charming
vineyards, taste unique wines, and learn about the deep connection between Georgian
culture and winemaking.
The tour schedule must be arranged so that the 3rd day falls on a Friday, as the Kist women
perform their ritual exclusively on this day.
